Even the great, and often maligned, “pirate hunter” Captain William Kidd used these coins to purchase rum and wine for his crew.

Robert's Notes: Excellent cross and details, and kings' monogram with visible "708" date. Most of the time dates aren't visible.

The size of the cross suggests this might have been struck with a 1 reale die on the cross side. Pretty cool.
