These precious little coins are true ambassadors of a time and place immortalized in the New Testament. Used by Jesus to teach about the state of the heart, they were the lowest value, and most humble coins of the era. Minted in Jerusalem, Jesus would have been as familiar with this coins as we are with nickels and dimes... it was these coins that Mary would have given him to buy small items at the market!
