Before the Roman Empire, there was the Roman Republic… where ancient Rome was ruled by the powerful Senate and moneyers were responsible for creating the coins used by the citizens of this rising power.

This silver coin, a Denaruis, was minted in Rome in 62 BC by moneyer L. Aemilius Lepidus Paullus. It pictures the veiled head of Concordia on the front (obverse). Concordia was the goddess of agreement and like-mindedness. On the back (reverse) is King Perseus of Macedon and his  sons as captives with Paullus standing front, head to left, placing his right hand on trophy.

Our ancient coin pendants are a favorite of history fans, students, travel buffs and teachers… and anyone with a love of the past. Our Roman jewelry is designed to be worn by men or women will accommodate both large and small chain and leather necklaces.

A fascinating glimpse into the passing of one great civilization and the continued rise of another.
