Less than 1 in 3,000 - the Rare Bronze Celtic Bell...

Please Note: This is an authentic ancient bronze Celtic Money Ring Bell, and you will receive the exact artifact in the photographs and description.

Celtic Ring Money is extremely rare, and we are the world's leading source of these ancient treasures. When we are able to acquire the rare Bronze Bells, it is thrilling. While these ancient peoples did not leave any detailed written records, what we do know of their spiritual beliefs, and the way in which they are found, suggests that these bells may have been worn by the Celts to ward off evil spirits through the delicate tinkling sounds they make when strung together. This pure sound was thought to drive away spirits that brought with them illness, misfortune and even bad weather. The use of bells to ward off evil is said to have inspired the use of bells beginning with the earliest of Christian churches. Less than 1 in perhaps 3,000 rings discovered are this rare bell shape. And when two or more are strung together, they still tinkle even after 2,500 years of being buried.

Celtic bronze bell dates from about 800 to 50 BC, when they were used, and perhaps even traded as currency among the Celtic tribes of Northeastern Europe, and later, Scotland, Wales and Ireland.

    Details about Celtic Ring Money:

While they may not look like money, bronze rings were used as currency by Celtic tribes and were worn on clothing or tied together with leather or string. Bronze is created when copper (soft metal) and tin (soft metal) are combined to make bronze, which is hard enough to be used as a tool or weapon. The rings were easy to transport, and could be melted down to make a tool or weapon, if need be. Often referred to as “ring-money,” this type of Celtic artifact is rare and were hand-made by Celtic craftsmen over 2,000 years ago.
