Dated Atocha coins are extremely rare! Especially 4 reales with this provenance, and in such good condition! This coin is #SR-1574 from the 1974 Florida State division with Treasure Salvors right at the beginning of Mel Fisher's 8 year legal battle with the state and U.S. government, when they tried to take Atocha away from him! This was recovered 11 years before Fisher and his crew "hit the mother load" in 1985!
This piece is dated 1620, with a "Z" for the "2" which happened from time to time with assayer "T", Juan Ximenez de Tapia
