1715 Fleet Shipwreck 4 Reale “Piece of Eight” in 18K Gold with Extremely Rare Original Mel Fisher Signed Certificate of Authenticity

Please Note: This is an authentic 1715 Fleet Shipwreck Treasure Coin, and you will receive the exact pendant in the photographs and description.

One of the most famed treasure fleets of all time, the 1715 Spanish Treasure Fleet yields some of the most stunning examples of early 1700's silver Spanish "cob" shipwreck treasure coins.

Crudely minted cob coins - short for cabo de barra, or "end of the bar," each has its own unique shape - and combined with the sea wear and stunning patinas, each is a small work of art!

And this cob is something extra-special! Recovered when Mel Fisher, of Atocha fame, owned the lease on the 1715 Fleet, this coin comes with an extremely rare and collectable hand-signed Certificate signed by Mel himself!

Your 1715 Fleet Shipwreck Treasure Coin

  • Obverse (Front): The Florenzada Cross with Lions and Castles
  • Reverse: (Back): Shield of Philip V

Note from Robert: Stunning Cross and castle! This is one of the most appealing for reales that I have ever seen come off of the 1715 Fleet. You just don't see this quality silver coin recovered from The Fleet these days. It was recovered in the later 1960s, and also comes with its original, extremely rare Certificate of Authenticity personally hand-signed by Mel Fisher himself, during the "Glory Days of the 1715 Fleet." (SEE VIDEO BELOW ABOUT THIS CERTIFICATE) During this time, part of his crew was searching for the Atocha off Key West (they discovered it in 1985). That is why I bezeled it in 18K gold, giving it a regal look and feel, fit for a king or queen... or pirate!

Who wouldn't want a Certificate of Authenticity personally signed by Mel himself! True Treasure Hunter memorabilia! It also comes with our detailed, multi-page Certificate of Authenticity, a copy of Coins of the Lost Galleons and all the other goodies!
