Roman Republic Silver Denarius 75 BC Necklace with Roma, & the Lost Columna Minucia

Please Note: This is an authentic Ancient Roman Treasure Coin, and you will receive the exact pendant in the photographs and description.

Before the Roman Empire, there was the Roman Republic… where ancient Rome was ruled by the powerful Senate and moneyers were responsible for creating the coins used by the citizens of this rising power.

This silver coin, a Denaruis, was minted by moneyer C. Egnatius Maxsumus in 75 BC in Rome. It pictures the Libertas on the front (obverse). Libertas was the personification of the virtue of giving freely - the spirit of generosity - and the goddess that represented this virtue. On the back (reverse) is Roma (the personification of Rome), holding a staff and sword, and Venus (the living embodiment of love, beauty, desire, fertility, prosperity, and victory), holding a staff with Cupid (the god of love) on Venus' shoulder.

Our ancient coin pendants are a favorite of history fans, students, travel buffs and teachers… and anyone with a love of the past. Our Roman jewelry is designed to be worn by men or women will accommodate both large and small chain and leather necklaces.
